Artist Description

This photo was taken at flow lake in Kootenay national park in BC. I came across this lake while hiking the Rockwall trail last year. I was amazed by the deep blue colours of the water and the sheer height of the cliffs behind it. The trail is 55 km and follows along massive limestone cliffs towering 900m over the surrounding area. I love getting out into the backcountry because all the planning for what to eat, where you will sleep, what gear you need, etc., is already finished beforehand so you can just head out and experience everything around you. And it feels good to have worked so hard to get to such a beautiful location, you get a sense accomplishment that you've earned the views.
